A Very Shenanery Christmas

The lights were hung carefully on the tree, they were all sorts of colors, each representing one of the people who were gathered at the party. There was orange, for Phinny, there was purple, for Megan, among others. Underneath the mistletoe, Six and RC laughed and talked while others, such as Aremok and Zambee, sat around the fire or looked out the window at the falling snow.

There was a long table against the wall, it was filled to the brim with all sorts of delicious foods, ranging from turkey to ham and all sorts of desserts. Phinny put a scoop of dirt pudding on his plate and went over to sit down with Zash and Megan.

“Merry Christmas, guys.” He smiled sweetly at his two friends.

“Thanks for inviting me.” Zash said as he sipped on his drink.

“This party is wonderful.” Megan said as she picked up a piece of food and moved it towards her mouth.

“Its almost time to unwrap presents.” Phinny reminded them.

Phinny motioned everyone towards the large, ten foot tall tree where a multitude of colorful presents sat. There were more than enough presents for each person there. Tall ones, long ones, short ones, round ones, you name it, they were there. Phinny picked up the largest one, it was long and brown and on the tag it said “To Kelli, from Phinny”.

“Phinny! You didn’t have to!” RC gasped.

“Fine, I’ll take it back then.” He teased.

RC began to tear off the wrapping paper, revealing an amazon box beneath. She pulled open the cardboard and inside she saw something unexpected. She gasped. It was something she had wanted from her wishlist. It was… Bofur’s hat! She pulled it out of the box and put it on her head and smiled cheekily.

“I love it!” She exclaimed.

“It looks good on you, Waibu.” Six said, hugging her.

The next present was one from Megan. She handed the smaller package to Phinny. He opened it up to reveal a hoodie. It was a burgundy color and on the front it said “Beacon Hills Lacrosse” and on the back it said “Stilinski 24”. He smiled at Megan, he had been excited for this gift. He put it on and it was Zash’s turn. It was also a present from Phinny.

“Another one!?” He exclaimed.

“Hey, you should expect it by now.” Phinny smiled.

“You’re right, you’re right.” He laughed as he pulled apart the wrapping paper.

Inside the box was a book. It wasn’t just any book, it was a comic book. It was one that Phinny had previously bought himself. It was the second series of Young Avengers omnibus. Zash was amazed, he didn’t expect it.

“Open it up!” Phinny said.

Zash opened the front cover and inside, written in sharpie was a message from Phinny. It said “Thank you for being a friend. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have someone like you in my life. You truly are amazing, Zash.” Zash looked at Phinny with a smile.

“Aww, thank you.” He said.

The festivities continued for hours and hours, and everyone was happy. Everyone got what they wanted and more. Friends that hadn’t met each other in real life before had finally met each other. And at the end of the night, they were closer than they had been before…
